My experience at Spine and Rehab Specialists helped me recover from my back surgery. I went through physical therapy for eight weeks. In the process of therapy, I had several exercises to do three times out of the week. Before and after my exercises I had a heating pad along with neuromuscular electrical stimulation. One of the exercises was bridges that required me to arch my back while laying on my back. Squats and going up and down the stairs were two of my other exercises to be completed along with using the total gym to stretch out my legs. Both of my legs were stretched to the front and to the back to give my mobility back to be able to walk with ease. Before I went through therapy I could not stand for longer than thirty minutes at a time; after I completed therapy I can now stand up for up to fifty minutes. Walking after surgery was not easy but with the help of therapy I can now walk a football field in distance. Overall physical therapy was a positive impact on my recovery.
