What insurance do you accept?
We are out of network for all insurance policies however we work with many insurances and are happy to submit directly for reimbursement. Being out of network allows the practice to utilize the highest quality labs and materials instead of having to select lower quality options in order to fit into the insurance requirements. As a result, the patient receives the best care without restrictions from their insurance provider.

Yes, our location has handicapped parking as well as wheelchair-accessible entrances.
What financing options do you offer for cosmetic dentistry?
Cosmetic dentistry treatments are typically not covered by dental insurance. We are considered an out-of-network provider for all insurance policies, though we can submit to them for reimbursement. We don't want cost to come in between you and the cosmetic results you desire, so we accept financing, which can help you keep your dental treatments within your budget. During your initial consultation with your dentist, he will develop a custom treatment plan, and we can provide you with an accurate quote for your cosmetic treatments.
Does implant placement hurt?
No. Your dentist will ensure you are properly numbed before he begins treatment. Some minor discomfort while you heal is to be expected but is easily managed at home with over-the-counter meds and comfort measures such as ice and a soft diet. Dr. Delahunty will provide you with all the information you need while you heal.
How long do dental implants last?
With proper care and maintenance, your dental implants should last a lifetime. However, it is important to remember that your restoration will wear over time and will eventually need replacing. On average, crowns, dentures, and bridges last for 10 to 15 years with proper care.
How can I know if I suffer from sleep apnea?
If you fear that you may be affected by sleep apnea, it’s important that you contact a doctor and get an evaluation. At Canyon Rim Dental, we are prepared to help you receive treatment for sleep apnea. We are a sleep apnea dentist Salt Lake residents trust caring for their teeth and mouth, and sleep apnea issues involve our area of expertise.
What is sleep apnea?
If you’ve had troubles breathing normally when trying to sleep, you may have sleep apnea. It is a serious sleep disorder that interrupts your breathing during sleep. If you have a case of sleep apnea that isn’t being treated, you may briefly stop breathing with regularity throughout the night – obviously making it very difficult to get a good night’s sleep. If you have sleep apnea, a good sleep apnea dentist can provide some excellent solutions.
How long does the dental crown placement procedure take?
If you qualify for a CEREC crown, we can complete your treatment in a single appointment at our Salt Lake City practice.
How long do dental crowns last?
Generally, a permanent dental crown can last for as long as 15 years. Our high-quality porcelain dental crowns are designed to be durable and resistant to staining. You can help improve the longevity of your crown by brushing and flossing properly and limiting your consumption of hard or sticky foods. Visiting your dentist for regular dental checkups can also help ensure that your crown stays strong and your smile stays healthy.
How do I know if I need a crown?
While you may notice symptoms of a tooth problem, it is nearly impossible to know what kind of treatment you need without first seeing a dentist. Before we do anything, we will provide a thorough examination to properly diagnose your dental condition.
How much does implant placement typically cost?
Implant costs vary greatly depending on your unique treatment needs, such as the number of implants and type of restoration. At Our Salt Lake City dentistry practice, a single post-extraction implant costs about $2,000 to $4,000.
